Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Clinical therapists will provide outpatient individual and group therapy to LP Counseling & Therapy Services patients. Clinical therapy services include treatment of adults and couples. We specialize in treating couples and childhood trauma. With a trauma specialty, it is important to have experience and knowledge of attachment trauma, attachment styles, and how early life trauma affects the developing mind and body is important. This is also critical for some couples cases we treat.

Essential Responsibilities

Someone interested in working specifically with clients w/ a history of childhood trauma. 

  • Willing to see at least 25 client’s a week or 100/month with 30 available client spots weekly. 

  • Willing to work at least one weeknight, one weekend day, and/or run a weekly group as needed.

  • Perform virtual clinical counseling services(cameras on) to patients of LP Counseling & Therapy Services, as scheduled, and in accordance with company policies.  

  • Regular and reliable attendance and timely arrival to work is required.

  • Respond to patients’ requests for service or calls within 24 hours of reviewing it whether such requests are made by email, phone, voicemail, etc. or through the LP Counseling & Therapy Services website. Respond to such requests by scheduling and/or arranging a meeting, evaluating, and/or providing services to such patients.  

  • Communicate with a patient’s treatment team (i.e., PCP, psychiatrist, school, etc.) as necessary.

  • Complete written records for each patient seen each week by Friday or Saturday of that week, including, but not limited to, intake notes, progress notes, treatment plans, termination notes, contract notes, and other forms or documents that may be needed or required from time-to-time by LP Counseling & Therapy Services or third parties in conjunction with the treatment of the patient within a timely fashion. Keep patient files accurate and up to date.

  • Coordinate with the biller, when necessary, to charge and collect payments from patients for services provided consistent with the policy and rate for such services as established by LP Counseling & Therapy Services. 

  • Attend mandatory staff meetings and training as requested by LP Counseling & Therapy Services. 

  • Conduct and regulate counseling services professionally to maintain and increase the goodwill and reputation of LP Counseling & Therapy Services. Be respectful of and cooperative and collaborative with co-workers.

  • Passion for working with others (being collaborative) and helping our team members grow and learn.

Other duties may be assigned.

Essential qualifications & skills

Align with LP Counseling & Therapy Services’s mission, vision, and values.

  • Must be punctual in reporting to work and signing on for your sessions. 

  • Master’s Degree or Doctoral Degree in counseling or social work or equivalent. 

  • Available to work up to see 22-25 patient sessions per week.

  • EMDR Basic training is highly preferred but not necessary.

  • Be organized and detail-oriented.

  • Be a team player.

  • Be able to work independently on tasks assigned.

  • Provide state Child Abuse Clearance & state Criminal Background clearance.

  • Strong moral character is required. We take ethics and honesty very seriously.

  • Have strong written and verbal communication skills and strong interpersonal skills.

  • Prior experience in a private practice setting is highly preferred.

  • Experience in treating anxiety, depression, emotional dysregulation, insecure attachment styles, couples, ADHD, SUDs, and trauma.

  • Have at least one niche market for counseling services (i.e., children, teens, trauma, anxiety, grief, couples, anger management, etc.).

For Fully licensed clinicians - Compensation is up to 70% of billable sessions when seeing 25 or more clients weekly. 60% if under 25/week.  

For Graduate licensed clinicians – Compensation is up to 60% of billable sessions when seeing 25 or more clients weekly and 55% if under 25/week.

Job Description – Licensed Clinical Therapist

At LP Counseling & Therapy Services, we specialize in EMDR to treat individuals who’ve experienced trauma and debilitating anxiety. Guided by our EMDR system, which includes mindfulness and strengths-based approaches, we help clients recognize their strengths while reducing the debilitating effects of their issues. We also teach them new skills to cope with life’s challenges. 

LP Counseling & Therapy Services provides internship, employment, and supervision/consultation for therapists who want to specialize in treating couples.
